Bridging inherent respect for legislation and strategic initiatives, Vanessa Faura is a dynamic thought leader with over 15 years of experience propelling organizational, community, and value-based strategies forward. Heavily respected for her creative ambitions that have touched national scales, Vanessa holds an adept history involving policy activism, issue-based education, rendering shared-value connections, mutually beneficial community/network building, and the art of turning every initiative into a successful trajectory. She is passionate about leveraging this acumen to not only translate large-picture visions into tangible realities but do so in such a way that ensures enduring community advancement.

Migrating to the US from Lima, Peru when she was nine years old, Vanessa has since built a large inventory of experiences leading national initiatives and campaigns that rendered significant country-wide media coverage as well as inspired new audiences to join grassroots movements and civic engagements. In conjunction with being a two-time Master’s graduate of Queens University of Charlotte, Vanessa was notably a former candidate for Charlotte City Council At-Large, formerly worked for Wells Fargo Bank in wholesale finance, and was appointed to North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory’s Advisory Council for Hispanic & Latino Affairs. Collectively, Vanessa has also built a strong coalition of community leaders and small business owners amid serving as a coalitions’ director in various states, a network she continues to evolve as a consultant of strategies, public speaker, advocate, advisor, outreach and engagement executive.

Vanessa is resected for creating and leading two major national grassroots initiatives: the Republican Civics Initiative – a national minority outreach initiative designed to equip future voters for the civics portion of the naturalization test, and the Women’s Walk-A-Thon – a national program to get women across the country get out to vote. These efforts were also side-by-side with founding the non-profit organization, Give Yourself the Opportunity (GYTO) to educate local families on the college selection process, creating and leading the Financial Literacy Tour various states, leading the Women Entrepreneurs Annual Conference, along with hosted numerous coinciding events in different central cities, brought new audiences together, and fostered shared-value community engagement.

To date, Vanessa’s passion-led devotions as a community organizer and leader in national coalitions building and grassroots movements have not gone unnoticed, as she has earned numerous accolades for her altruism that has become the baseline for personal, professional, and institutional advancement across the US. This includes successfully leading multiple policy initiatives, curating issue-based education programs to empower citizens at both the state and national levels, networking closely with stakeholders to accentuate civic engagements, and ultimately being named Person of the Year by Norsan Media’s Hola Noticias in 2013. Overall, Vanessa is a high-energy advocate for intentional growth, is best known for her large-picture efforts that have moved thousands to under-resourced groups across the nation, and firmly understands that securing opportune futures starts by empowering individuals instilling civic engagement today.
